GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides confidential and other secretarial services for the General Manager. Provides services and information for the Board of Directors and its committees in specially assigned areas. Responsible for public relations, economic development, and marketing. May supervise or direct others.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
1. Record the minutes of Board and committee meetings.
2. Coordinate, schedule, and book travel arrangements for Management and Board Directors.
3. Public relation activities.
4. Marketing and promoting the company brand and services.
5. Assist in emergency and outage situations when necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Inside position with the usual office conditions. Normally have regular hours of work. Some overtime may be required.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or similar. Experience in a related field preferred. A valid Tennessee driver’s license. Willing to travel in and out of state. Must be able to read and comprehend reading material. Must be able to write legibly. Must be able to exhibit satisfactory communication skills. Visualize, develop, and produce marketing materials.
 
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Must be able to operate ordinary office equipment such as a telephone, computer keyboard, calculator, etc. with an acceptable degree of accuracy.
2. Must be able to work independently and organize work.
3. Visual acuity and manual dexterity to enter and verify entered data into a computer terminal.
4. Listens and communicates orally with employees, members, etc.
5. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
6. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
