At the discretion of Forked Deer Electric Cooperative, any customer who has a medical life-sustaining necessity, as defined by a physician licensed to practice in the State of Tennessee, for ongoing electrical services will not be disconnected due to non-payment. This arrangement does not alleviate the customer from the financial responsibility of the account; however, it does delay termination of services as long as the condition remains or worsens.

The Medical Necessity Form must be completed by the customer, a qualified physician and notarized in order to be considered by Forked Deer Electric Cooperative. All paperwork must be renewed every one-hundred eighty (180) days in order to remain in effect.
